I've had the fortune to work with great designers. Among them are Simon Lam, who designed this project when I freelanced for a St. Louis company.
He gave me the storyboards in Illustrator, which I animated:
Getting the lines of the 'key' to undulate properly (starting at about :50) was the real victory of this project. It's a little thing you'd barely notice, but I was happy with it, as well as the overall result. :)
